FRISKE Maintenance Group: Our Story

Rose and Bill Friske

FRISKE Building Maintenance Company (FBMC) began in 1984 with two determined young engineers—Bill and Rose Friske. Engaged to be married and studying Chemical Engineering at Wayne State University in Detroit, they combined their technical mindset with a shared entrepreneurial spirit. What started as a small cleaning service quickly grew into something much larger.

In the early years, FBMC focused on commercial office and industrial plant cleaning. Clients valued the company’s reliability, attention to detail, and hands‑on leadership. As demand increased, so did the range of services. Carpet cleaning, painting, and minor handyman repairs were added to meet the evolving needs of customers who trusted FBMC to keep their facilities running smoothly.

Growth didn’t stop there. As industries expanded and expectations rose, the company launched a new division—FRISKE Maintenance Group (FMG)—to take on more complex projects. FMG broadened the company’s capabilities to include construction, renovation, electrical work, industrial painting, and roofing.

Today, FRISKE Maintenance Group stands as a full‑service partner capable of handling everything from rooftops to parking lots and everything in between. What began as a two‑person vision has become a trusted, multi‑disciplinary maintenance and construction provider serving some of the region’s most demanding environments. And through it all, the commitment that Bill and Rose built the company on—quality, integrity, and dependable service—continues to guide every project.
